Terms of use

Last updated: 7 September 2026

Plain terms, without defensive filler. By installing or using Impugna you accept the following.

1. What this app is

Impugna is a productivity tool for people practising law in Mexico. It assists in drafting briefs related to automated decisions by public authorities and provides reference material on the applicable legal framework.

Impugna is a support tool; it does not constitute legal advice. It creates no attorney-client relationship between you and us, and it does not replace your professional judgement.

2. Your professional responsibility

Every document the app produces is a draft addressed to you. Before filing it with any authority you must review it, verify the citations, adapt it to the actual case and make it your own. Responsibility for what is signed and filed rests solely with the person who signs and files it.

Do not use the app to produce documents if you are not qualified to practise law.

3. Licence

We grant you a personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to use Impugna on the devices associated with your Apple Account, subject to the App Store's usage rules.

You may not decompile the app, extract its corpus to redistribute as a product, resell access, or use the app to build a competing service.

4. Legal content

The legal texts bundled with the app are reproduced from the official publications of the Mexican Chamber of Deputies and other government sources, which are in the public domain. We make a reasonable effort to keep them current and the app displays the date of the last update, but the binding version is always the one published in the Diario Oficial de la Federación.

The Radar section describes legislative bills and their procedural stage. The app never states that a bill is in force.

5. Subscription

Radar and Glosario are free. Impugnar and the professional modules require Impugna Pro, an annual subscription purchased through the App Store.

The subscription renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, from your Apple Account settings. Billing, refunds and cancellations are handled by Apple under its own terms. “Restore purchases” is available inside the app.

6. No guarantee of outcome

The app is provided “as is”. We do not warrant that a brief produced with it will be admitted, well-founded or successful, nor that the app will be error-free or uninterrupted.

A legal outcome depends on the facts, the file, the authority and the judgement of whoever litigates it — variables no application controls.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, our total liability to you for any claim related to the app is limited to the amount you paid for the subscription during the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to it.

We are not liable for indirect damages, lost procedural opportunity, missed deadlines, or consequences of filing a document without having reviewed it.

8. Privacy

How information is handled is described in the privacy policy on this site, which forms part of these terms.

9. Changes

We may update these terms as the app changes. The current version will be published on this page with its date. If you keep using the app after an update, we take it that you accept the published version.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the federal laws of the United Mexican States. Any dispute will be submitted to the competent courts of the United Mexican States, without prejudice to the consumer rights the law of your place of residence grants you.
